We've got strong WiFi (strong enough for streaming), a projector for presentations, a stage for speakers, and a sound system that picks up everything clearly. Organizers have live-streamed talks, panel discussions, and workshops from our venue to audiences watching on Zoom, YouTube, and custom platforms. It works.
The key to a good hybrid event venue is that the in-person experience has to be great too. If your physical attendees feel like they're just sitting in a studio watching someone talk to a camera, you've failed. At The Unusual, the room has energy. Theres a bar, theres atmosphere, theres actual interaction. The online audience gets the content, the in-room audience gets the experience. Everyone wins.
Companies and organizations in Brussels have been booking us for hybrid conferences, webinar tapings, and live-streamed panels. One tech community does a monthly hybrid meetup here — about 40 people in the room and 200 watching online.
