Looking for a film screening space in Brussels thats not a cinema but still has the right setup? The Unusual on Warmoesberg 49 has a projector and professional sound system in the downstairs space, and its been used for film screenings, documentary premieres, and movie nights more times than we can count.
The downstairs area fits about 30 people and has a cozy, intimate atmosphere thats perfect for screenings. Think of it like a private cinema with a bar. The projector throws a big, clear image on the wall, the speakers fill the room without being overwhelming, and everyone's got a drink in hand. Its how movies should be watched.
Film students from INSAS and LUCA School of Arts have screened their short films here. A documentary filmmaker from Forest premiered her work about Brussels street art in our space. A group of friends rents the downstairs every month for their "cinema club" — they pick a theme, screen two films, and discuss over drinks. Honestly, its one of our favorite regular bookings.
Film screening space in Brussels centre is surprisingly hard to find. Most cinemas dont do private bookings, and renting a proper screening room costs hundreds of euros. Our downstairs space is a fraction of that cost and you get a bar included. Your audience can grab a beer or coffee during the intermission without leaving the venue.
If you need a bigger setup, the upstairs space also has AV capabilities and can fit 120 people. Good for larger premieres or film festival events.
