COMMUNITY EVENT SPACE

The Unusual started as a community space, and thats still what we are at heart. If your looking for a community event space in Brussels, this is the place where real things happen — not corporate stuff, but actual community gatherings that bring people together.

We've hosted jam sessions where musicians from Matonge and Saint-Josse showed up with guitars and djembes and played until midnight. We've had yoga mornings, crochet workshops, tango classes, sip & paint evenings, and open mic nights. Every single one of those events happened because someone in the community had an idea and we said "yes, lets do it."

Our community event space on Warmoesberg 49 has two floors. The upstairs fits 120 people with a stage, DJ booth, and bar — great for concerts, jam sessions, and bigger gatherings. The downstairs fits 30 people and works perfect for workshops, meetups, and intimate sessions.

What makes us different from other community event spaces in Brussels centre? We're affordable, we're flexible, and we actually care about what happens here. We've given reduced rates to non-profit groups, student organizations, and local artists who needed a space but didnt have a big budget. Community means community.
