CHOCOLATE COOKIES IN BRUSSELS
The Unusual Brussels — Chocolate Café

Our chocolate cookies are one of those things people dont expect when they walk into The Unusual. They come in for coffee, see the cookie display, and then suddenly their order doubles. Happens every day on Rue Montagne aux Herbes Potagères 49.
We bake our chocolate cookies fresh and use proper Belgian chocolate chips — not the tiny ones from a bag. Big chunks of real chocolate that get all melty when the cookies come out of the oven. The outside has a little crunch, the inside is soft and gooey. Thats how a chocolate cookie should be.
People visiting Brussels from Central Station or walking around Grand Place often ask us where to find good cookies that arent the mass-produced ones from the tourist shops on Rue du Marché aux Herbes. We always say: here. Our chocolate cookies in Brussels are made in small batches so they're actually fresh, not sitting in a basket since yesterday.
We usually have a couple varieties — classic chocolate chip, double chocolate (for the serious chocolate people), and sometimes a seasonal special like chocolate orange around Christmas or chocolate with sea salt in the colder months. Regulars from the Sainte-Catherine area have their favorites and get pretty vocal when we change things up.
If your looking for a quick snack between Grand Place and Central Station, a chocolate cookie and an espresso is the move. Takes two minutes, costs a few euros, and its honestly better than most of the expensive chocolate boxes you'll find in the Galeries Royales.
The Unusual is open every day at Rue Montagne aux Herbes Potagères 49. We're the cafe between Central Station and Grand Place where the chocolate cookies are always fresh and the coffee is always good. Simple as that.
