FREE WIFI CAFE IN DOWNTOWN BRUSSELS
So you need free WiFi in Brussels and you don't want to sit in a McDonalds. We get it. Thats exactly why we made our WiFi fast, free, and with zero strings attached. You sit down, you connect, you're online. Done.
The Unusual is located on rue Montagne aux Herbes Potagères, 49, Bruxelles, right between Brussels Central Station and Grand Place. A lot of people who come in are looking for a free WiFi cafe near Grand Place — freelancers passing through, tourists trying to rebook a hotel, students from KU Brussel needing to finish an assignment before class. We see it all.
Our internet is actually fast. Not "cafe fast" where you can barely load Instagram. We're talking video calls, uploading files, streaming — it all works. We've had people run full Zoom meetings from the corner table. Nobody complained about the connection. The barista might have judged them a little, but the WiFi held up just fine.

WHY CHOOSE THE UNUSUAL
Here's what makes it nice tho: you don't have to feel guilty about staying. Some cafes in Ilôt Sacré or Sainte-Catherine give you that look after 45 minutes or event 10 minutes — like you should order again or leave. We're not like that. Get a coffee, sit down, stay two hours if you need to. There's power outlets at most tables so your laptop wont die before your motivation does. We have laptop friendly tables and conversation friendly tables.
Free WiFi in Brussels city centre isn't as easy to find as you'd think. A lot of the spots near Bourse or around De Brouckère either have slow connections or charge you through overpriced drinks. At The Unusual, a cappuccino is a cappuccino price, and the WiFi comes free with it. Fair deal.
If you're working remote in Brussels or just need to send a few emails before catching the Eurostar, come by. Open every day. Good coffee, fast free WiFi, and nobody rushing you out the door.
