ESPRESSO DRINKS IN BRUSSELS

Our espresso drinks are what most people come to The Unusual for. We pull every shot using beans from Wide Awake Coffee and Urkunina — two small local roasters who take their craft seriously. The result? Espresso that's rich, balanced, and actually tastes like something.

You'd be surprised how many cafes in Brussels city centre serve espresso drinks with beans that have been sitting around too long or ground too early. At our place rue Montagne aux Herbes Potagères 49, Bruxelles, near Grand Place and De Brouckère, we dial in fresh every morning. Temperature, humidity, grind size — our baristas adjust for all of it. Every single day.

The espresso drinks menu covers everything: single and double espresso, macchiato, cappuccino, flat white, latte, americano. Classic stuff, done the way it should be done. If you want something cold, we do iced versions too — iced latte, iced americano, espresso tonic when the weather cooperates.

We use 3 house blends and you can always choose any of them for your drink. Among them, Duke is the bold one — full body, low acidity, chocolate and fruit notes. Duchess is creamier and sweeter, with almond and orange. Both are roasted specifically for espresso, so they shine whether you drink them straight or with milk.

WHY CHOOSE THE UNUSUAL

Speaking of milk: dairy, oat milk, coconut milk, Alpro 'Not Milk'. All available for coffee, matcha latte or hot chocolate.

A lot of folks passing through the Bourse area or walking from Sainte-Catherine ask us for the best espresso near Grand Place. We don't like to brag, but... actually yeah, we do. Our espresso is really good. Come taste it yourself.

The Unusual, Rue Montagne aux Herbes Potagères 49, Bruxelles. Espresso drinks made with real beans by real baristas. Open every day.
