If you're searching for good coffee in Brussels, you've probably noticed that the city can be hit or miss. Some places charge you 5 euros for a mediocre espresso. Others serve coffee that tastes like it was roasted in 2019 - no comment! We're neither of those.

At The Unusual, rue Montagne aux Herbes Potagères 49, Bruxelles — just off Grand Place, two minutes from Central Station — we serve specialty coffee at prices that make sense. Our beans come from Wide Awake Coffee and Urkunina, local roasters who actually know what they're doing. We've got three main blends: Duke (full-bodied, chocolatey, easy-going), Duchess (creamy, almond and orange notes), and Harmony (smooth Colombian single origin with vanilla). Each one is roasted for espresso and pulled fresh by our baristas. You can choose any roast for your drink or let our barista recommend you one.

People always ask "where can I get a really good coffee near Grand Place?" or "is there a decent coffee shop by Brussels Central?" — yeah, there is. You're looking at it.

We do espresso, double espresso, flat white, cappuccino, latte, americano. All the classics, done right. If you want milk, we got regular dairy, oat milk, almond milk, coconut milk, and Alpro 'Not Milk'.
