OPEN MIC NIGHTS IN BRUSSELS
The Unusual Brussels

Open mic nights at The Unusual are the kind of thing that makes Brussels feel like a small town in the best way. People get on stage — some nervous, some confident, all brave — and they do their thing. Sing, play guitar, read poetry, tell jokes. The crowd cheers for everyone. Its beautiful.
Our stage on Rue Montagne aux Herbes Potagères 49, Bruxelles has seen first-timers who could barely hold the microphone and seasoned performers who just wanted to try new material. Both are equally welcome. Thats the whole point of open mic nights — its open. Everyone gets a shot.
We've had singers from Schaerbeek, poets from Ixelles, comedians from Anderlecht, and guitarists from Saint-Gilles. Brussels is full of hidden talent and our open mic nights give them a platform. Literally. We have a stage.
The sound system is proper. Not some tinny speaker in the corner. You perform at The Unusual and you sound good. The crowd is always supportive. And the bar is right there for liquid courage before you go up. Belgian beer helps with stage fright — thats not medical advice, thats bar advice.
"Open mic night Brussels" or "where to perform near Grand Place?" — Rue Montagne aux Herbes Potagères 49. Check our Instagram for dates. We run them regularly and theyre always a good time, whether you're performing or just watching.
